If you could recommend 3 from that list that you think not enough people have seen, which would it be?

Well, the operative phrase there is "not enough people have seen". Most of these movies have been seen by just about everybody. I could pick one right away and that's Paths of Glory, a somewhat overlooked Kubrick that points up the absurdity of war better than his later Dr. Strangelove (three Kubrick movies in this list, more than any other director). Also probably The Battle of Algiers, it's talked about but not seen as often as it could/should be. And then perhaps Wings of Desire, I don't care so much for the story but I was in Berlin around the time it was made and it has Blixa Bargeld in it (playing in Nick Cave's band), and, of course, Bruno Ganz.
