Another Frying Day

I lost the whole entry I had just finished typing, now I have to do it all over again. How long, O Lord, how long?
OK, here we go again:
I had a good time at coffee last night. Fun is where you find it, and it can be found in some pretty pleasant places. Today is another hot, completely cloudless day and I am inside pecking away at the laptop before putting in some work on designing casting molds for Burning Man metal gewgaws from the Proun Republik. Do you know anyone worthy of the Order of Self-Expression, Second Class, with Twine?
Sorry comrades, for whinging about work yesterday. I made a half-promise to myself when I starte this LJ thing that it would not mention work and work problems as much as possible, and here I am doing it after only 15 entries. I will try to keep it to a bare minimum in future. Though I do get upset when I see the unnecessary problems and waste of effort, sometimes years of hard work, that occur when certain people cannot make a decision, any fucking decision, because oh, they might be held responsible for it later. That's what they get the mid-sized bucks for, right? Eh, anyway...
Poppies are blooming front and back. Mostly dark purple ones - where are all the red ones? - but there is one big pure white one in the middle of the back garden, the biggest I've grown yet. I took some digital pictures and will post them when I figure out how to link (is it just a simple A HREF tag giving a URL for somewhere on the Net? Anyway, I will try that after I have made this entry safe).
Tomorrow is the 2003 Gothnic at Beacon Hill Park. I'm looking forward to it, though I don't know if I will be able to bring as many cherries as I wanted for the group as this morning I found that the wingless birds, the ones who know how to use ladders, had been at the tree. Bah!
