Canadull Day

Well, a combination of a good weather day and a day off, so we went to the Gorge Park for a bit. Aki jumped around in one of those bouncy things, we swung on the swings and he got to pet a guinea pig and a bunny. Later we went to Cattle Point and I took a nap on a log while Aki made crab mousshe. I was quite tired after all that time in the sun, but I don't appear to have burned much. Solar energy's good for the scars, after all. Late at night we could see the upper half of the fireworks show at the Inner Harbour; it's about five miles away but the detonations were clearly audible.

One big red poppy has come out, in the front bed! Maybe they just bloom later than the purple ones though last year the red ones all came out before the purple ones.

I'm disappointed - I was going to go see "Rear Window" with someone tonight, but a work meeting intervened and she can't go. I was quite looking forward to it, it's not the same going by oneself.
