Ow, ruddy 'eck...
May. 11th, 2004 10:46 amI was up most of the night with toothache. It's been getting progressively worse since Saturday. At first I thought it was because I was grinding my teeth in my sleep again (couldn't confirm that because a) I'm asleep when it happens; and b) people only notice me when the screaming and punching and flailing starts).
But it appears that it is localized in one tooth, one that had a root canal done on it several years ago, and now it has to be redone by a specialist. He'll look at it on Thursday, and if I am very lucky get it done on Monday. Meanwhile I eat Ibuprofen, 200-400 mg every 4-6 hours, for at least the next six days.
Oh jolly jolly. If this has to wait until after I get back from Phoenix, I'm getting out the pliers.
Oh yeah, Phoenix - There's a gaming convention there 19-23 May and I'm going down there for a look-see, with a case of samples of my games, to schmooze as best I can (that is, not very well) with game publishers, distributors and editors. Every little bit helps and this is something to write off against my taxes next year.
On Sunday we had dinner at Lin Heung, a pretty good and not-fancy Chinese restaurant. My fortune cookie read, "If you have money on hand, you should use it in improving yourself." Which is what I am doing in all respects, I suppose.
