There's Got To Be A Morning After

It was hard getting to work today,
Picking my way through the wreckage of the flaming synagogues
Past the crowds of immigrants being driven into the ocean by crowds of shrieking blue-haired dowagers with whips
Negotiating the roadblocks manned by detachments of US Marines and volunteer rednecks
I was late so I didn't stop to watch the first of the public beheadings of homosexuals
But there was a long traffic light at Fort and Blanshard so I couldn't avoid seeing an Indian being sawn in half on a barbed wire fence.
(actually, I think the next year or two will probably be pretty boring)
