Jun. 7th, 2006 10:22 amWell, we are leaving this afternoon for Phoenix. We are taking the Port Angeles ferry down to friends in Federal Way who will graciously let us leave the car with them. The difference is that the air ticket is about half price when you fly to Phoenix from Seattle, as opposed to flying from Victoria or Vancouver (which are not direct flights anyway - you still fly to Seattle, and get on the same plane).
Yesterday Phoenix had a huge haboob, or dust storm - it looked like this:

Think I'll pack a dust mask and a hankie just in case. Wish I didn't have this damn bronchitis (though it is getting better, yesterday was awful but things are clearing up slowly). Ugh ugh ugh I hate being sick.
War Plan Crimson box arrived just in time yesterday, so I will have some stuff to take down with me.
I'll be back at work (or in an oxygen tent) on Tuesday!
