I think this is absolutely brilliant.
Instead of pretending to be a Nigerian prince in difficulty or a dotty solicitor offering money, insult the rube and provoke him into replying, letting them know they've got a live one.

Yeah, it's a Pickup Artist term, and that's the standard usage, except that it's weird to see it in a spam email. If you're a woman, it's been going along 5ever.
