As promised, here are a few shots of the metal castings I made and gave away at Burning Man. Apologize for image quality but I was going for small file sizes.

from left to right, upper row first: Neubauten Man, Wounded Fandango Man, Eskimo Astronaut, second Man, first Man, Order of the Giant Robot, Bomber Pin

Closeups:

first Man

second, better Man

bomber pin

Neubauten Man

Eskimo Astronaut

Missing are images of the Pointy-Headed Alien and the Kilted Skeleton, but I have the molds and will try my hand at casting some more soon.

Would anyone like to have any of these? Let me know if you have a killer trade!

those are great!
Are you casting them at home?

Yep. I work in solder metal, melted with a propane torch and poured freehand into a RTV silicone mold prepared with graphite as a release agent.

Aki made the positives for the Eskimo Astronaut, Wounded Fandango Man and Pointy-Headed Alien.

very cool :)

I would love to experiment with metal one day, but I am not a sculptor, and..I am clumsy as hell.
Those rock, do you take them to any markets?

Thank you.

I just make these for fun, and give them away or trade them. I would not try to sell them, they are too crude.

The previous comment as Richard was from me. Stupid forgetting to log out.

Bomber! I could trade cookies or something.

Or maybe some of the dirt that encrusts my Prague cobblestone.

Bomber it is. Cookies are a fine trade item for most anything.

In my collection I have a chunk of the Berlin Wall, a little ziploc bag of debris from Ground Zero, and a pebble from the top of Mt. Fuji. Dirt from Prague might be OK too.

Sounds like the ingrediants of some sort of historical/geographically spell for a modern version of Macbeth.

Aw, ya figured it out.

Have you been having trouble accessing the Yahoo Gothvic site? I can't get on anymore, keep getting an error 999. I see someone is getting on as the number of messages is climbing.
