3) Favourite TV show of the 1980s?
Pee-Wee's Playhouse!

4) Favourite invention of the 1980s?
Personal computers! Followed by the VCR!
(OK, so they weren't invented in the 80s, but that was when they started getting into large numbers of ordinary hands)

5) World Event from the 1980s that stands out in your mind?
Fall of the Berlin Wall! (I was one of the last people ever to be refused entry into East Berlin. Ask me about it some time.)

Repo Man would be my favorite too from that era. The character Miller had some great lines in it. Early Jarmusch movies are close to the top too. I think "Pow Wow Highway" is from that era too, ever seen it?

Hope you are feeling much better from whatever bug you got. Really some nasty bugs out there lately. I constantly try to remind myself not to just grasp shopping carts or door handles of restrooms.
