Actually, i guess it's you can't use real money to pay for unreal goods anymore.

Personally, I regard online payments and transactions to be things that do not involve "real" money. Same with credit cards - it's just a promise to pay, one that everyone hopes will be honoured when the time comes.

I know technically even currency (coins and bills) is a promise to pay too, on the part of the government that issued it, but it seems more real somehow.

I know this is all illogical and completely out of tune with the monetary-house-of-cards times, but there it is.

reminds of World Bank dictum: "The reason the pollution and environment is so bad in parts of China is because the cost of fresh water is too low... and has to be brought up to "international" standards"...
