A House Divided (great introductory wargame)
Axis & Allies (good toy factor, not a great game. I prefer Attack!)
Battle Cry (spent a whole summer playing this with Aki)
Carcassonne (good to play any time)
Citadels (good if you can get enough people together)
Cosmic Encounter (ditto - I have the Avalon Hill version)
Illuminati (also liked the INWO CCG iteration very much)

Fluxx is a lot of fun. I've heard a lot of good things about Settlers of Catan.
