1. How do you feel about winter? Why?
I don't like it. It's cold. And normally rainy. And dark.
2. How about snow? Does it redeem an otherwise-gloomy season or just annoy you?
I like snow when it's falling, when there's that weird light in the sky. Of course, once it hits the ground I don't want it around anymore.
3. How does winter affect you physically, emotionally, etc? What do you do about that, if anything?
I hate the dark (short days) and the cold. February is my worst month. Not looking forward to this one.
4. Do you celebrate winterholiday(s)? If so, which one(s)? What do you like or dislike about them?
I take the holidays the law makes me take. I will be on vacation the next two weeks while school is out so I can enjoy my first Christmas with Aki in four years. Unfortunately, not much time to take it easy - I have to do some home repairs, pack up what I can of the house since we are moving in les than a month, and write two 3,000 word magazine articles by New Year's.
5. Do you have inherited or created winter traditions for holidays, foods, activities, etc?
Well, I tried to start the "Pole of Plenty" tradition in the house (we had a pole fan (can't find a picture) and I put a string of lights on it) but no dice. Some people are so hidebound.
