Keen neighbourhood interest in vacant schools has led to efforts to make the Greater Victoria School Board more transparent with their land dealings.
Saanich resident Linda Travers is angry the Greater Victoria School Board put the former Fairburn elementary school in Gordon Head up for sale without telling the public.

So this school board not only shut down Aki's school, they pissed on its corpse by selling it to a land-raper. Based on the number of crappy townhouses they erected on the lower field, there will be between 60 and 80 new houses crowded onto that piece of land. Any children there will have to walk most of a mile to get to school.
I told Aki about this on Friday on the phone and he asked if the playground would still be there. We had fun at that place.
There's no way to punish the turds who did this except by voting them out office, and the damage is already done. God, this pisses me off.
