Snappity Snap Snap.

I wish my life had some kind of Maxwell's Demon that could put all the good stuff in one place and the bad in another.

I'm gonna watch Jacob's Ladder now. That'll fuck up my mood righteously.

If you have a container of pure water (the container is best made of transparent glass or plastic so you can especially appreciate what happens) and add a container of ink to it, over time, the ink will gradually disperse throughout the water. Eventually the fluid in the transparent container will be a uniform colour. Physicists call this state "chaos".

Lt. Murnau is asking for his life to become completely unchaotic (the physicists may have an equally undescriptive word for this state, but I don't know it) with all the good, clear, fresh and pure stuff in one container, and all the dark blue heavy bad stuff in another.

Lt. Murnau's Dilemma is similar in effect to Zeno's Paradox, and will therefore be just as effective.

Leave him in peace as he grapples with this fundamental issue.

the word you were looking for is "ordered," and I think your observation is perfect. I made some sort of laughing noise out loud- now I can't think of the word for it. Not a snicker, a chuckle, a chortle... sort of a muffled laugh that sneaks out when you're enjoying some dark humour.
(Sorry for enjoying the dark humour of your "situation," B, but I'm sure it sometimes occurs to you, too, or at least I hope so.

I think the word you're looking for here is schadenfreude.

Good stuff: J.C. has asked about you. Drop him a note?

Also, merry Christmas from Doro

I got a Christmas card from him the other day. I have to drop him a note, and quickly.

Merry Christmas to you and Tom and the kitties (you've probably already seen this: http://www.rathergood.com/laibach).
