Date: 2004-12-07 02:09 pm (UTC)I remember first seeing the film "Urgh a music war" when I was a teen. His performance in that was phenomenal. I wonder what he would have accomplished had he not died. I've read that he has the dubious distinction of being one of the first famous people to die from aids.
Have you seen this film? Great line up of bands. Magazines performance is great too...I love Howard Devoto.
I have the soundtrack and video to that film. I recently used them to introduce a young coworker to his music. I also introduced her to Lene Lovich (another one of your favorites I believe).
All the music that means anything to me was made so long ago...I feel old now.
