Klaus is so striking.
I remember first seeing the film "Urgh a music war" when I was a teen. His performance in that was phenomenal. I wonder what he would have accomplished had he not died. I've read that he has the dubious distinction of being one of the first famous people to die from aids.

Have you seen this film? Great line up of bands. Magazines performance is great too...I love Howard Devoto.

I have the soundtrack and video to that film. I recently used them to introduce a young coworker to his music. I also introduced her to Lene Lovich (another one of your favorites I believe).

All the music that means anything to me was made so long ago...I feel old now.

I have a copy of Urgh! on video, I saw it in the theatre when it came out the first time too. Unfortunately my video copy has the great Gary Numan number "Down in the Park", where he's driving a little car around, snipped out. Do you have the complete film?

Nomi's performance was great, too. He also appeared for a moment on "Mr. Mike's Mondo Video", a nasty comedy videotape made by Michael O'Donoghue, the man who made the first few seasons of Saturday Night Live funny.

You don't have to feel old because all the good music comes from the past - just reflect on what's wrong with why almost good music is coming out NOW.
