ltmurnauMy foot is feeling better these days. More like a sprain than a break, more like my foot tried to fold up the wrong way than having its edgebones smashed on a wooden step. I should be fine by the time I leave for Burning Man, but will have to be careful about overdoing it as I am wont to do.
I went to Value Village last night, got another cheap Pentax camera that sort of works, so won't be upset if the alkali dust in Nevada kills it. Also found a khaki colored jacket, made in Japan (could tell by the weird Engrish label inside) that was mostly pockets - pockets in the sleeves, pockets across the front, and a single giant pocket in the back. Ten bucks. I got it home and Mitsuko identified its brand as something that sold for more than 20,000 yen (about $225) in Japan. Not bad!
Long weekend this weekend, no plans except making molds for casting and hanging out with Aki. Then things get busy:
August 8 wedding anniversary (10th, aiee)
August 9 Prophecy at Grindstone cafe (Yay! Maybe I can dance the slow ones)
August 15 Guests arrive from Bainbridge Island
August 16 SIXTH ANNUAL TUVAN INDEPENDENCE DAY PARTY, in my backyard, 5:00 on. Well, come!
August 19 Mitsuko's birthday
August 22 go to Los Angeles
August 24-25 en route to Black Rock Desert
August 25 - 31 BURNING MAN 2003
August 31 - September 1 back to Los Angeles
September 3 return to Victoria
Whew!
